Holden was a wide receiver for the Oregon Ducks—completing a strong season with 45 catches for 718 yards and five touchdowns, according to Sports Illustrated. Before Oregon, Holden spent three years at Alabama. He, along with hundreds of others, waited in anticipation for the 2025 NFL draft.
Holden shared his faith even as he was quietly hopeful for the draft. He shared posts stating, “Jeremiah 29:11,” and “However it goes is exactly how it’s supposed to go. Thank you lord.”
While he shared news of many of his teammates and friends who were drafted into the NFL, Holden was not picked in the seven rounds of the draft.
The Dallas Cowboys snatched him up as an undrafted rookie for the 2025 season, but Holden had something pressing on his mind and heart.
Holden publicly professed his faith and was baptized at church. He shared a video of the life-changing moment, which has since been viewed more than 500,000 times.
“Thank you lord for this day,” Holden shared.
