“Guardians of the Galaxy” star Chris Pratt recently shared his most essential needs with his Instagram followers. Jesus was on his list.
In a post Pratt titled, “Just the essentials. What can you not live without?,” the actor showed his fans a video of himself getting his hair and makeup done.
Explaining that his list was in no particular order, Pratt wrote, “Things I can’t live without: oxygen, organ, blood…(my own), gravity, Jesus, food & water, NFL, my wife & kids, bass fishing, my glam team.”

Pratt made the comment next to his list, saying, “Family first, always. Don’t overthink a fun post please!”
Fans’ comments ranged from “Not ashamed of Jesus. I love it,” “Jesus is always number one. Above family, above everyone,” and “Jesus ❤️🙌” to “Good to clarify the blood one.”
Pratt, who became famous in his role on NBC’s hit sitcom “Parks and Recreation,” has long been open about his faith in Jesus. Pratt shared with FOX & Friends earlier this year that he “made some deals with God” after the birth of his son Jack, who was born nine weeks premature in 2012.
“[I] really made some deals with God, as you do when you’re praying. And I felt like, ‘If you save my son, I will give you everything. I’ll give you my life. I’ll give you my platform,” Pratt recalled. “I won’t be ashamed to talk to you, talk about you.’”
Pratt shared that God saved Jack, so Pratt has “been trying to make good on that promise ever since.”

While accepting the Generation Award at the 2018 MTV Movie & TV Awards, Pratt told the thousands in attendance and the millions more watching his “9 rules for Chris Pratt.”
Two of Pratt’s nine rules were “God is real” and “learn to pray.”
“God loves you. He wants the best for you. Believe that. I do,” Pratt said, “[and] praying is easy, and it’s so good for your soul.”
Pratt has started in several successful movies, including two major blockbuster franchises. “Guardian of the Galaxy” brought in over $2.4 billion worldwide over its three movies, and “Jurassic World” brought in nearly $4 billion worldwide over the three movies in which Pratt has starred.
