From screaming in excruciating pain trying to get out of bed to performing his No. 1 song in front of thousands of fans, Forrest Frank continues to share his journey of God’s miraculous healing with fans.
Just 21 days ago, Frank was rushed to the hospital after falling off his skateboard and hitting his back on the sidewalk. On Thursday, Aug. 7, Frank not only performed a live concert at the Iowa State Fair in Des Moines, Iowa, but he was jumping around like his back was never broken.
“So I broke my back, right,” Frank told the crowd in a video he posted on Instagram. “But something happened in the midst of it when God turned some lemons into lemonade.” Frank was then joined by The Figs and performed their hit song “Lemonade” live for the first time.
“Lemonade” was created while Frank was bedridden with a broken back and released Friday, Aug. 1. The song quickly became the No. 1 track across all genres on Apple Music.

Alongside a video, he wrote the Scripture verse Isaiah 40:31, which says, “But those who trust in the Lord for help will find their strength renewed. They will rise on wings like eagles; they will run and not get weary; they will walk and not grow weak.”
Following the verse, Frank said, “Can’t wait to tell our grandkids this story. (If Jesus hasn’t come back yet).”
On Aug. 2, Frank told fans that he had broken his back “exactly two weeks ago” to the day. “I got an X-ray and a CAT scan [and] it showed that I had multiple fractures — I could not move an inch without excruciating pain.”

Frank explained that he woke up on that Saturday morning and forgot to put on his back brace. The singer said he just started doing the morning routine and, without thinking, picked up his son Bodie without realizing he wasn’t wearing his brace.
