Forrest Frank, the Christian singer known for his smash hits “Good Day,” “UP!,” and “Your Way’s Better,” shared over the weekend that he broke his back while skateboarding.

Frank has been nominated for a Grammy Award and multiple Billboard Music Awards, and he has won two Gospel Music Association (GMA) Dove Awards, including the 2024 GMA Award for New Artist of the Year.

In a social media post that he captioned “turning lemons into lemonade 🍋,” Frank said, “Two days ago, I fractured my L3 and L4.”

Frank shared a clip of the accident. The video, which was captured by a security camera possibly from Frank’s doorbell, shows the singer falling off of his skateboard and hitting his back on the side of a concrete sidewalk.

Frank responded, saying, “I don’t know. Let’s find out.”

“I think I’m gonna just sing whatever pops out, and I’m gonna build the chords around it,” Frank said as he was lying in bed.

The viral singer went on to write an entire song in just under three hours. Some of the lyrics were:

Even when I fall or get attacked
God’s got my back
Even when I’m low and full of lack
God’s got my back
Even when my soul is full of sorrow
I don’t have to worry about tomorrow

‘Cause God’s got my…
Back. Back. Back right there never left
I could feel your presence in every single breath
Sometimes we just gotta take a rest
Flowers like to bloom in the season that is best
