Declining seminary enrollment and shifts in theological education are complex issues. I do not wish to make light of such or state the problem may be solved with one quick-fix. We did not get here overnight and no solution will arrive overnight.

For many people, growth in Christ is primarily growth in knowledge of Bible facts and doctrines. Maybe you love digging deep in the Bible, unpacking original meaning, listening to sermon podcasts, and reading books. And I’m right there with you; I love knowledge.

Relational casualties, broken relationships, will come with close friends, church board members, core group participants, and treasurers, and sometimes from their own children.

The truth of God’s Sovereignty should serve to remind us the world will never spin out of God’s control.
