A great tension exists in every organization. Leaders make most organizational decisions, yet those further down the organization are primarily responsible for executing these decisions.

If you’re a believer, you are called! Obviously, however, there is a kind of “calling” that sets certain individuals apart for positions of ministry leadership.

At no time in my life has there been a greater need for leadership. At the same time, there seems to be the greatest shortage of qualified leaders in my lifetime as well.

On the one hand, what God says is true, whether or not we live consistently with it. On the other hand, a man who calls people to live pure lives while living in immorality is a hypocrite.

Every once in a while, I’m in a conversation where a church member expresses “surprise” to have seen his or her pastor outside the pulpit.

God calls, prepares and empowers spiritual leaders to lead His church. Spiritual leadership is not a job for everybody. While every Christian is called to follow Christ wholeheartedly, and make an impact on the world around them—some are called to equip the Body of Christ as spiritual leaders.

Today is an opportunity to remind yourself of some of the promises of God that are true no matter what season, circumstance, difficulty, frustration, or anxiety you might find yourself in.

Of course, if the Bible isn’t true, then professing Christians are in serious trouble. I believe the Bible is true. I believe it is the Word of God.
