My definition of a dysfunctional team, in simple terms, is one which cannot operate at peak efficiency and performance, because it is impacted by too many negative characteristics.

Sin is so bad that it took nothing less than the death of the Son of God to pay for it. To fix us. To restore our relationship with God, and the life of God that flows from that relationship.

A great tension exists in every organization. Leaders make most organizational decisions, yet those further down the organization are primarily responsible for executing these decisions.

If you’re a believer, you are called! Obviously, however, there is a kind of “calling” that sets certain individuals apart for positions of ministry leadership.

At no time in my life has there been a greater need for leadership. At the same time, there seems to be the greatest shortage of qualified leaders in my lifetime as well.

On the one hand, what God says is true, whether or not we live consistently with it. On the other hand, a man who calls people to live pure lives while living in immorality is a hypocrite.

Every once in a while, I’m in a conversation where a church member expresses “surprise” to have seen his or her pastor outside the pulpit.

God calls, prepares and empowers spiritual leaders to lead His church. Spiritual leadership is not a job for everybody. While every Christian is called to follow Christ wholeheartedly, and make an impact on the world around them—some are called to equip the Body of Christ as spiritual leaders.
