5. Use technology when appropriate.
Integrating technology into children’s church and ministry can also boost creative connections. Multimedia resources, high-tech presentations, and even interactive apps make learning more accessible for some students.
When children can’t be present due to illness or other reasons, virtual meetups are a creative way to keep them connected.
6. Move beyond survival mode.
Working with children at church requires stamina and perseverance. But don’t let the week-to-week schedules and challenges steal your joy, imagination, or big-picture dreams. Set aside regular time with your kidmin staff to brainstorm and plan for the future. Also spend regular time with God. Ask him to open doors to new opportunities for connecting with kids—and for connecting kids with God.
By nurturing creative connections from a young age, children’s ministers lay the foundation for a strong church community built on love, fellowship, and shared faith.
