We have reached the blessed season of anticipation as we together await the birth of Christ. And just like 2020 has brought us new experiences in so many ways, this year we will be celebrating Advent in different capacities.

It may seem like the people teaching the lesson are the most needed.  But that is simply not the case.  Without the behind-the-scenes people, it would be a struggle when the weekend rolls around.

Let's take a look at Millennials as parents.

Has the next generation learned from us that a device is an addition or an addiction? Do they view them as an occasional enjoyment or an ongoing indulgence.

It's a great time to connect with the kids through Christmas jokes.  Kids love jokes.  You can use these with one kid before service, in a large group or small group.

If you have done kids ministry for any length of time you will be able to say like Paul, “I know what it’s like to be abased and to abound.”

Most churches focus on making new guests feel welcome.  And we should.  Stats show that people decide in the first 8 minutes if they are going to return.  How your team makes people feel when they arrive is very important.

It’s great that you’re a Christian parent, BUT it’s even greater if you’re leading your children into a lifelong, personal relationship with Jesus.
