Some content featuring James has been removed as part of a careful review, but much of the library will remain because the ministry believes the biblical truths communicated over the years stand independent of personal failures.

“God has used Skit Guys’ content to plant seeds of faith that human failure cannot unplant. We’ve made difficult decisions to remove certain content while carefully reviewing our entire library,” the statement informed readers.

“The eternal truths woven into those stories—about grace, redemption, and God’s love—remain unshakeable, regardless of the messenger’s shortcomings,” said the statement. “Throughout the entirety of Scripture, we see God using imperfect and broken people to share the Truth of God’s love and redemption.”

“Yeah, it caught me off guard too. And I would love to sit down with each of you and explain everything but I can’t,” Woodard said in his video. “But what I can do is tell each of you this did not catch God off guard. Yeah, he saw it coming, and in ways that I couldn’t see, he has been carrying me through some of the most difficult days of my life.”

According to the statement, 231 Collective will continue to create content for churches. “We are working toward a future where all our content is generosity-funded and freely shared. We’re not there yet for church resources, but we’re striving toward that goal,” the new ministry shared. “Ultimately, we want to give everything away. Our motivation is revelation and revival, not revenue.”

In addition to their comedy sketches, Woodard and James starred in a 2022 faith-based family film titled “Family Camp” that grossed nearly $4 million in theaters.
