Pastor Denied Pretrial Release After Being Arrested for Possessing Child Sex Abuse Material

One community member spoke to WCIA regarding the case, saying, “I was shocked. You know, you don’t expect that out of people you know. I don’t.” 

“I never thought anything like this, to be honest with you,” the community member added. “Not at all.” 

If convicted, Overmyer faces between six and 30 years in prison. The investigation remains ongoing.

Overmyer’s next court appearance is set for Dec. 15.
