The 37-year-old Irish fighter said he only became aware of what he viewed as the symbolic connections after the wedding took place, calling them “unmistakable signs of divine orchestration.” He also referenced Psalm 151, which he described as a personal testament connected to faith and victory [Editor’s note: While most Protestant and Catholic Bibles contain only 150 psalms, some copies of the Septuagint include Psalm 151.].

McGregor said the exact timing of the ceremony was not originally planned. According to the post, a letter from the Vatican arrived about a week before the wedding, requiring the ceremony to be moved earlier in the day, resulting in the 12:12 p.m. start time.

“The exact 12:12pm timing was not my plan at all,” he wrote. “It then took place officially, at precisely 12:12pm.”

McGregor also said the decision to marry on that specific day and in the Vatican came after he awoke from medical treatment in Mexico with an urgent desire to proceed with the ceremony.

“I awoke from the treatment I underwent in Mexico with the most intense need to wed Dee, on this day, and in the Vatican,” he wrote. “So I set about it with great urgency.”

Characterizing the events surrounding the wedding as “not coincidence,” McGregor said he believes God guided every detail and confirmed a blessing on his marriage.

“Serving God is my number one priority,” McGregor wrote. “Then my wife. Then my children. Then my parents.”

McGregor concluded his heart-felt post by expressing love for God, his wife, their children—Conor Jr., Croía, Rían and Mack—and his parents, ending with repeated thanks to God.

McGregor has expressed his desire to compete in the UFC White House event scheduled to take place on June 14, on the South Lawn of the White House. The fight is part of the grand celebration commemorating the 250th anniversary of the United States.

Throughout his career, McGregor has had multiple sexual assault allegations brought against him, some resulting in his arrest, but none that have led to criminal charges.
