Johnson said she had been talking to March for Life “for the past few weeks about partnering with them on the promotion” for the documentary. In the past, “they were super helpful,” in promoting “Unplanned,” she said, “and that’s what you would expect, right? I mean, we all want abortion to end, right?”

March for Life wanted to screen the documentary ahead of time and did so. Afterward, Johnson received an email from the organization thanking her for her work and calling the film “impactful and compelling” but declining to promote it because of the “vivid, graphic details.”

“Yes, it is graphic because abortion is graphic, because abortion is murder. Murder is graphic. Ending something as graphic as baby murder sometimes requires a graphic response,” Johnson said. “But let me be clear: That is not why they said no. ‘Unplanned’ was far more graphic than ‘Unthinkable,’ like way more. It’s not about that. ‘Unthinkable’ is a direct threat to the existence of the establishment pro-life groups.”

Johnson claimed that, unlike ATTWN, other pro-life groups are “not trying to work themselves out of a job.” She and her organization “rightly [call] abortion murder. Establishment pro-life groups do not. They are upset with me because I call abortion what it is.”

“And if we start treating abortion as murder, what will happen?” she asked. “The majority of the killing will stop. Then what happens? The majority of these pro-life groups will cease to exist.”

“I don’t want to do this job any more. I don’t want babies to be murdered any more. I don’t want abortion any more,” Johnson said. “But I promise you, right now, I’m standing alone in this movement. No other leader is standing with me.”
