After reading Claiborne’s post, Center for Baptist Leadership’s William Wolfe directed the comment “Your affectionate uncle, Screwtape” towards the Red Letter Christians co-founder.

Church Creek PCA senior pastor and former Ligonier Ministries associate editor Nick Batzig said, “Shane, one of the most offensive things to God is when people use religion to justify the unrighteous while condemning the just (Prov. 17:15).”
