Worship leader and recording artist Johnny Burkhalter, known as Johnny B, has released a modern revival of Hillsong’s worship classic “I Give You My Heart” through Integrity Distribution in partnership with Nineties Worship Night.
Johnny B serves as the worship and student pastor at Crossroads Church in Douglasville, Georgia, and brings nearly two decades of ministry and music industry experience to the release. The project continues his mission to lead worshipers into authentic encounters with God through music, teaching, and storytelling.
The track offers a modern revival of Darlene Zschech’s timeless worship song, reimagined for today’s generation of worshipers while honoring the original heart of surrender.
“I was 19 when I started” in the Christian music industry, Johnny B told ChurchLeaders. “So giving back to the next generation is so key for us. It’s so meaningful that we’re making sure that we’re not just keeping all this experience to ourselves. We want to give it away and help others along their path as well.”
Johnny B also shared what the Hillsong classic means to him personally.

“I actually grew up [with] this song ‘I Give You My Heart,’” he said. “I remember it was one of the first songs I led in youth group…we didn’t have a lot of fancy equipment at our church.”
“We were a really small church and the youth group we met in the basement, said Johnny B. “So we didn’t have screens. We didn’t have lyrics on the wall. Any of that. So if I couldn’t remember it, I didn’t do it.”
“It was one of the first songs I memorized, and it was one of the songs that I did often because I learned it from memory,” Johnny B said.
The song has allowed Johnny B to connect multiple generations while leading corporate worship.
“I think it’s so important that when you’re leading a room on a Sunday morning that you remember that there’s multiple generations in the room, and we want to reach all of them,” he said.
