A media campaign by the World’s Last Chance sect is apparently getting under the skin of some Christians. One unidentified man went viral last week, after video showed him painting over the word “not” on a billboard that read, “The Bible Says…Jesus Is Not God.”

In one version of the video, as the man worked atop the Los Angeles-area platform, Tupac Shakur’s song “Only God Can Judge Me” played in the background. No media reports have confirmed the billboard’s exact location or the date it was defaced, and no records indicate that criminal charges were filed.

Although the act involves vandalism, many Christians are praising the man’s efforts. Turning Point Action shared the video, writing, “When you see evil, draw your sword  (Or paint brush).”

“People are talking about Jesus again,” wrote someone who shared the clip. “And whether it’s a billboard, a reel, or a conversation, God will use whatever He wants to get attention and stir hearts.”

Man Alters Billboard To Read ‘Jesus Is God’

The nighttime billboard alteration that occurred recently near Los Angeles has been described, tongue in cheek, as “evandalism.” Despite the physical and legal risk taken by the unidentified painter, some people are applauding him for defending Scripture.

“When a lie is painted over with truth, it is a small preview of the Day when every false word about Christ is silenced,” someone wrote on X. “Billboards can deny [Jesus], but they cannot erase Him. The world may shout ‘He is not God,’ yet even their paint fades, while His name endures forever.”

The billboards, which have been spotted in other parts of the country, are linked to World’s Last Chance. Although that group claims to be Christian, it denies the deity of Jesus and the existence of the Trinity. In addition, World’s Last Chance teaches that salvation comes through obeying the Torah, including Old Testament dietary laws.

The group, founded in the early 2000s, also spreads conspiracy theories, including the flat-earth theory. World’s Last Chance follows a lunisolar calendar, which leads to a “floating” Sabbath. It equates Sunday worship with the mark of the beast and the Catholic Church with the beast in Revelation.
