‘The Chosen,’ ‘Mission: Impossible,’ ‘House of David’ Nominated for 2025 Movieguide Awards

Movieguide, the international family entertainment guide and advocacy organization, recently announced the nominations for its 33rd Annual Movieguide Faith & Values Awards Gala.

Celebrating the most family-friendly, spiritually uplifting films and television shows of 2025, the awards will be presented Feb. 6 at the historic Avalon Theatre in Hollywood. The ceremony will stream live on Great American Pure Flix, with winners unveiled during the broadcast.

According to its website, Movieguide was founded in 1985 by Dr. Ted Baehr and his wife, Lili, with a mission of redeeming “the values of the entertainment industry, according to biblical principles, by influencing industry executives and artists.”

Movieguide CEO Robby Baehr said, “These nominees demonstrate what audiences are hungry for: stories anchored in faith, virtue, and timeless values. Faith-driven storytelling isn’t just meaningful, it’s powerful entertainment that resonates across generations.”

“We’re honored to celebrate these films and the filmmakers who are bringing light to screens worldwide,” he added.

Movieguide boasts over 89 million monthly users and is the No. 1 movie and television show review source for families.

Nominees for year’s awards include “The Chosen: Last Supper—Part 2,” “David,” “Mission: Impossible—The Final Reckoning,” “The Fantastic Four: First Steps,” “Sarah’s Oil,” “House of David: Episode 208: ‘The Truth Revealed,’” “County Rescue: Episode 2.5: ‘Hot Water,’” “The Senior,” “Superman,” “The King of Kings,” “Zootopia 2,” “Ruth & Boaz,” “The Chosen Adventures,” “Dot Conner: Webtective,” “Kevin Costner Presents: The First Christmas,” “Investigating the Supernatural: Miracles,” and “The Case for Miracles.”

Individual nominees include Vanessa Kirby (“The Fantastic Four: First Steps”), Uma Thurman (“The King of Kings”), Naya Desir-Johnson (“Sarah’s Oil”), Oscar Isaac (“The King of Kings”), Zachary Levi (“Sarah’s Oil”), Kelsey Grammer (“The Christmas Ring”), Paras Patel (“The Chosen: Last Supper—Part 2”), Michael Iskander (House of David: Episode 208: ‘The Truth Revealed’”), Serayah (“Ruth & Boaz”), Stephen Lang (House of David: Episode 208: ‘The Truth Revealed’”), and Rowan Atkinson (“Man vs Baby: Episodes 1.1-1.4”).
