Pastor Robert Jeffress: Trump Shared the Easter Message
In a recent interview, Dallas Pastor Robert Jeffress also noted that President Trump had posted video and written statements about Easter. “And it was the strongest and clearest expression of what the resurrection of Jesus Christ means that I’ve seen any president, Republican or Democrat, give,” he added.
Jeffress also pushed back against claims that Trump is unstable or dangerous, saying the president is more than capable of fulfilling his important duties. “A couple of days after the war began in Iran, I was in the Oval Office with him,” the pastor said about Trump. “I thanked him for his courage in confronting an evil that posed an existential threat to the survival of America, Israel, and the entire world.”

Jeffress, who has led First Baptist Dallas for 18 years, is preparing to break ground on a construction project at his Southern Baptist Convention church. A four-alarm fire destroyed the historic sanctuary in July 2024, and Jeffress said he expects the $130 million replacement to be completed by Easter 2028.
