“Using a Playboy-style bunny with the phrase ‘get some action this Easter’ clearly carries a suggestive message, and that’s what makes it so inappropriate,” De La Mora stated—quoting Ephesians 5:4 where the Apostle Paul warns against “obscenity, foolish talk, or coarse joking.”
De La Mora told her followers that Christians are “called to be set apart.”
“Easter is about the resurrection of Jesus Christ, not innuendo, not gimmicks,” she said. “Let’s lift up what actually saves: the truth of the Gospel.”
Despite Lamb receiving criticism on social media, with some dubbing him the “Playboy Preacher,” the pastor defended the church’s Easter logo. He even joked that “moving forward this is the only name in which I will answer” and that if he were to ever return to Southern Honor Wrestling it would be his “new gimmick.”
