Jamal Bryant Calls Kevin Hart Netflix Roast ‘Disrespect Dressed as Jokes’

“The Kevin [Hart] roast wasn’t comedy,” said Bryant, “it was disrespect dressed as jokes. In this climate for it to go unchecked is to give consent.”

Some commented on Bryant’s post in agreement, noting that the special “went way over the line in racism” and was “unacceptable.” One commenter described the special as “tasteless and demonic.”

Others critiqued Bryant, with one commenter questioning, “Why are you watching secular programming!?” Another commented that it was “just jokes.”
