Says the Times, “In the northern province of Hebei, one county offered bounties of 1,000 yuan, or about $140, for each Wuhan person reported by residents.” Wuhan residents are also being turned away from hotels and having their personal information leaked online after registering it with authorities.
The words of the pastor from Wuhan, Hubei, contrast sharply with this culture of fear:
