Another user pointed out that Mary knew some of the truths described in the song, but did not know others.
Author and pastor Scott Sauls praised “Mary, Did You Know?” for its “rich Christology” and asked, “If we are going to boycott a song because Mary DID know, should we boycott other favorites because there WEREN’T three kings and there were NO radiant beams from his holy face and the little Lord Jesus, MUCH crying he did make? Or should we just go easy and enjoy the season?”
