Why Are People Fine With Steph Curry’s Faith, but ‘Hate’ Tim Tebow’s? Ray Comfort Answers

The evangelist suggested that the parable of the rich man and Lazarus described in Luke 16 depicts the difference between the faith of Curry and the faith of Tebow. The rich man did not feed Lazarus, a poor man who begged by his gate. As a consequence, the rich man went to hell, while Lazarus went to heaven.

This parable does not illustrate that our good works save us, said Comfort. Rather, he believes the rich man is representative “of the professed church, the false church,” which gives lip service to Jesus while not obeying his commands.

And one of the commands false believers disobey is the command to preach the gospel. “It’s not about success or being the best,” said Comfort. “It’s about sinners going to hell and the command to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.”
