“I have to take my daily medicine. My medicine every day is the word of God, God’s Spirit through prayer, and the church—the Body of Christ itself. When I spend time in prayer, in the Word, and with God’s people, that’s my medicine that I need every day,” Powell said. “And just because you’re a pastor, [it] doesn’t mean that you’re exempt from that. If anything else, it’s that you dig more into that.”
