"If you go into every single at-bat with no fear and just a calmness… good things are going to happen."

“It doesn’t matter if it’s the last year or the first year, I’m gonna go out there and play my best and do what I need to do for this city and what I need to do for the team. It’s all in God’s hands. It’s gonna work out the way it’s supposed to. That’s why I’ve got agents. I’ve got people taking care of that. I’m not even worried,” Judge said.
Judge credits God for the opportunities he has received throughout his life.
“He put me in this position, blessed me with so many opportunities in my life. I just try to take a quick moment just to kind of thank Him. I just got a chance to hit a home run at Yankee Stadium,” Judge told the assembled media in 2018. “That’s something not too many people can say they’ve done. It’s a blessing every time I step on that field and get that opportunity.”
Judge’s 62 home runs are the third most hit by a MLB player in a single season, behind Barry Bonds (73), Mark McGuire (70), and Sammy Sosa (66). McGuire also hit 65 home runs in another season, and Sosa hit 64 and 63 home runs in other seasons.
Bonds, McGuire, and Sosa have all currently been denied election to Baseball’s Hall of Fame due to taking performance enhancing drugs.
