When asked about world turmoil and fears of Armageddon, Jeffress says that event is simply a prelude to Jesus’ return, which Christians look forward to. As an aside, he comments that President Biden is “clueless when it comes to the Bible.”

Jeffress is promoting his new book, “18 Minutes with Jesus.” It’s not about any kind of near-death experience, he clarifies. Instead, he had wondered what Jesus might address during an 18-minute TED Talk—and realized “we already have it.” The Sermon on the Mount, which you can read in 18 minutes, “contains instructions about the things we care about,” says Jeffress, including our sex life, our prayer life, possessions, our eternal destiny, and even why we should vote.
