During a 2008 appearance on the “700 Club,” Bradshaw said his Christian friends were harsh and judgmental when his previous marriages failed, and they “ran me off” from faith. Eventually he experienced “one of those great, wonderful, salvation moments in my life.”
When a preacher led Bradshaw through the so-called sinner’s prayer, he “knew that God’s spirit had moved into my heart, and into my life and had grabbed and taken control of me, and you know what? I couldn’t, I couldn’t escape it. Because I learned that God forgave me.”
Bradshaw also has been open about previous struggles with depression and ADHD. “Our society frowns on it, and they don’t want their heroes to have these issues,” he said in 2008, “but unfortunately I do.”
