This research is part of a larger effort by Barna called the Resilient Pastor initiative, which is aimed at diagnosing and addressing pastor burnout, loneliness, and health.

“While the current data, as well as past research, highlights a drastic decrease in pastoral satisfaction and security, it also offers rays of hope that we’re excited to help you build on,” Barna says on its website.

Led by pastor and author Glenn Packiam, Barna has offered resources to pastors that include podcasts, pastor cohorts, and roundtables, centering on the content of Packiam’s book, “The Resilient Pastor: Leading Your Church in a Rapidly Changing World.”
