Calling Dallas Jenkins’ response “weak,” someone wrote: “Nobody is asking you to sit down and extensively discuss the crews [sic] personal workplace policies. And I think you know that.”
“What people are upset about, is the fact that a ‘pride’ flag, a flag designed by a sexual predator that celebrates clearly sinful sexual lifestyles, was allowed to be planted on the set of a show about the life of Jesus and his disciples,” the commenter continued. “The right response would be one that expresses contrition and a commitment to make amends. By instead responding this way, you mock and disrespect your very loyal fans and their intelligence.”
Meanwhile, another person commented: “A proper Christian response would be….that’s awesome that [non-Christian employees] are there! Surrounded by people who love God….maybe they will not only hear the gospel but see it! I MEAN THE SHOW IS ABOUT JESUS.”
“I applaud the whole cast and crew,” the person continued, “especially Dallas…for his obeying the call to make the life of Jesus relatable and making it with a quality worthy for God! And who knows…maybe some there, will come to know God in a personal way…wouldn’t that be the ultimate?”
