In a statement, Brave Books indicated that the goal of “See You at the Library” is “to provide regular everyday citizens an opportunity to join the fight” against libraries that have opposed events hosted by Cameron and Brave Books.
“The success of this event has led to a powerful organization called the American Library Association getting involved to try and stop citizens from joining this movement. It will not work,” the statement went on to say.
In an appearance on “The Megyn Kelly Show,” Cameron said, “My question to the ALA is: Why all the hate? I thought I just learned the rule—it’s about diversity. It’s about equity. It’s about inclusion. Why are you excluding us?”
