Former "Growing Pains" actor, Kirk Cameron, said “nefarious forces are targeting children” during an interview Thursday (May 11) on One America News Network (OANN).

On March 15, Hendersonville Public Library director Allan Morales was terminated due to the “unkind pushback” he demonstrated to Kirk Cameron’s children’s book reading.

In the course of the episode on cancel culture, Cameron sought the wisdom of Idaho pastor Douglas Wilson, who is a controversial figure for his views surrounding Christian nationalism and antebellum slavery.

On Thursday, Kirk Cameron hosted his first public library reading at Indianapolis Public Library. The turnout was overwhelming, exceeding capacity limits and resulting in the need for a second reading.

Kirk Cameron is set to read his children’s book at two libraries that previously denied his request to be featured at story hour programs. However, the libraries deny that they ever barred him from renting a space.

Following the rejection of his book from public library story hours, Cameron urged parents not to "go home with our tail between our legs, crying in our Chick-fil-A soup, waiting for the rapture."
