Davi’s first career was in marine biology, involving work with large-scale public aquariums. He moved to the Las Vegas area after Hurricane Katrina, according to information in the wrongful death lawsuit. Davi began attending Grace Point Church in 2006 and joined the staff in 2014.

Junio, who is in custody on $300,000 bail, has been charged with open murder with a deadly weapon, attempted murder, battery, child abuse/neglect, and discharging a gun/weapon where a person might be endangered. A preliminary court hearing in the case is scheduled for March 4.
