McNabb mentioned that it is not just NBC censoring athletes when they speak about their faith. “I wouldn’t say that it’s just NBC,” he said. “You know, it’s a lot of other media outlets as well, [and] they really have to go back into the meeting and evaluate themselves, and they’re gonna have to get this thing corrected because that is definitely not the direction that needs to be going in at this point.”

As he concluded the conversation, McNabb criticized media outlets for rarely showing the players and coaches praying together at midfield after the game. “They never pan over to midfield to show those 25 to 30 people who are taking the knee and midfield and coaches as well,” he said.
“There’s got to be a conversation now because it’s become a national thing,” he added. “But not only is it NBC, it’s got to go to every network now, because now the magnifying glass is on everyone who, you know, covers football or sports in general.”
