“You may think you’ve gone so deep into darkness that you can’t come back, but you can. Jesus always pulls you back.” Stewart also encouraged attendees to diligently read the Bible.
Pastor Is ‘Honored and Humbled’ To Offer Assistance
Speaking about the incident afterward, Adams explained she had a mint in her mouth to prevent it from getting dry. “I was praising the Lord like everybody else,” she said, “and…I got choked on it. Both Stewart and Adams encouraged people to learn the Heimlich technique so they are prepared in case of emergencies.
Stewart also credited God with the situation’s safe, quick resolution. “Jesus not only allowed me to be in the right place at the right time, but he instantly healed her,” the pastor said. “I’m honored and humbled that he used me in this position to be able to spread the gospel and save Miss Lois.”
