Heather described her husband as an “incredible man that brings me and our children closer to Christ,” adding that she is “proud to be his wife.”
“I am saddened to see another person, a pastor at that, attacking a fellow brother in Christ instead of lifting them up and encouraging,” she added. “I am sorry you were offended at a Michael Jackson move. I pray you have a blessed day.”
Young replied to Heather saying that he appreciated her “family’s Christian values.” The pastor went on to say that “as Christians, we’re called to set an example, and performing an immoral dance on a national stage doesn’t honor the Lord. We are to flee sexual immorality and glorify God with our bodies.”

“We all make mistakes,” Young said. “And I pray this is reconsidered in the future, as many are watching. I thought long about responding, but given the platform and the families involved, I felt it was important to say something. Thank you again for your comment.”
While being introduced as the Saints new quarterback last year, Carr told reporters that his “faith is [his] number one” priority.
