“The accusations being made against me are untrue. This will be my only public address of them,” said Jennifer, still posting as Patriarchy Hannah, on Feb. 13. “If you have questions, you can reach out privately, but I’m not interested in giving people the public drama they’re searching for.”

That was not her only public address of the accusations, however.

“I have actually been beside myself trying to figure out the best way to handle this situation without putting people I know who’ve now been doxxed and don’t deserve this in further potential danger,” she said the next day. “But, now I’m being accused of having an alt called Retarded Rapist’ and I cannot stop laughing. Y’all are actually fully low functioning.”

According to Duff, Jennifer deleted her account Friday (Feb. 14) but soon restored it.

On the following Monday (Feb. 17), she posted her first apology, which says in part, “I just want to say that I am sorry for the lies I told and the hurt I caused.” At some point this week, the account (which has the handle @harmonizedgrace) changed the moniker “Patriarchy Hannah” to “Jennifer.”

“I never intended for this account to become as big as it did, and once things started snowballing, I enjoyed the relationships I’d built and didn’t know how to put an end to it,” Jennifer said. “It was wrong of me. I have repented of this behavior and will not be back on X.”

Elsewhere, Jennifer said she would be deleting her account soon but wanted to “clear some things up for people in the next week or so.” She interacted extensively with people Wednesday afternoon, maintaining that she runs no alt accounts—not even the one for her fake husband “Tony.”

But she refused to say who does run Tony’s account, beyond that it is a man she knows who is not her sibling. “It’s being taken care of,” she said, regarding his account being taken down, as it eventually was.

Multiple people criticized Jennifer’s first apology, including X user Landon Douglas, who told her, “If you truly are staying to apologize and ‘clear the air’ it would be best to start being transparent. Stop saying vague things. Stop being ambiguous there are several people you need to apologize [to] personally and be transparent. True repentance is swift, not delayed.”

After Jennifer maintained she was not being “vague,” Douglas responded, “Who is it then? In the sake of repentance why not explain why you have a fake husband account who soley [sic] only tweets about your fake home maker wife…Forgive me for my bluntness, But you had my families [sic] information and I would like answers.”
