Former Missouri Pastor Bobby Hawk will not be charged with a crime following an investigation into accusations that he groomed and sexually assaulted multiple underaged girls.

The Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office indicated that the statute of limitations has expired.

Hawk resigned as pastor of Epic Church in Independence, Missouri, when allegations of misconduct dating back to the 1990s surfaced in June 2024. He also resigned as president of the Blue Springs School Board.

Epic Church’s website and social media profiles have since been deactivated.

The church had been affiliated with the Assemblies of God denomination. It is unclear whether the church is still operational. Its phone line has also been deactivated.

Shortly after the accusations against Hawk came to light, church leaders indicated that they were considering selling the church’s property to another church.

Around the same time, Pastor Don Miller, superintendent of the Southern Missouri Ministry Network of the Assemblies of God, said:

We have been made aware of allegations regarding Bobby Hawk, pastor of Independence Epic Church. When allegations toward a minister arise, we take those matters very seriously and we have a well-established process in addressing them. We are following these guidelines to properly investigate these allegations.

In a blog post released in June 2024, Izzy Davis alleged that Hawk touched her inappropriately at a youth group sleepover. At least five women have subsequently spoken out.
