Erick Avari is another “Chosen” cast member appearing in “The Solomon Saga.” Avari has had roles in feature films including “The Mummy,” “Stargate,” and “Mr. Deeds.” He plays the Pharisee Nicodemus in “The Chosen,” and takes on the role of Solomon’s father, David, in this new biblical story.
“You must build the Lord’s temple,” David urges in a scene from “The Solomon Saga.”
Chloe Avakian has appeared in TV series including “Locke & Key” and “Near or Far.” In “The Solomon Saga,” she plays Devorah aka Avistag. The Solomon Saga Instagram account explained to a follower that Devorah’s character is “based on the biblical Avishag (spelled Abishag in some texts). She cared for King David in his last days. In our film King Solomon gives her the nickname ‘Devorah.’”
“God sent me here to protect our kingdom,” Devorah says in one clip.
An April 24 Facebook post about “The Solomon Saga” features a couple other familiar faces from “The Chosen”: Jonathan Roumie, who plays Jesus, and George H. Xanthis, who plays the Apostle John.
“A very special Easter weekend sharing @thesolomonsaga with so many of the cast & crew. THANK YOU to everyone who helped make this passion project a reality!” says the post. “We can’t wait to begin the next phase! Thanks also to the special guests who didn’t let a little betrayal keep them away.”
