Baptize America Prepares for Pentecost Celebration
“If God can do it in California, He can do it in any state,” notes the Baptize America website. “And if He can do it in America, He can do it in any other nation in the world.”
Baptize America, with church partners representing more than 100 Christian denominations, is inviting congregations across the country to participate. At its website, churches can sign up to host a Baptize America event on June 8.
During the past two years, mass baptisms also have been occurring on America’s college campuses. What began as Unite Auburn, with 200 baptisms at the Alabama university in 2023, spread to Tennessee and Texas A&M in 2024. This year, the organization now known as Unite US has slated gospel-sharing events at 11 campuses nationwide.
“I believe that America is set for the greatest revival our nation has ever seen,” said Unite US founder Tonya Prewett. “I believe it’s starting with college students, and the hunger and the fire that we’re seeing…is just taking off. It’s a movement.”
