On Kris Williams’ Facebook page, someone posted an image titled “How Do You Restart a Broken Marriage?” Below that, someone commented, “He’s aware of all of these things. Why don’t you just pray for him?”
“He doesn’t need everyone and their mother to tell him the same thing over and over,” the user continued. “His congregation addressed it, he knows what he did and needs to do. Pray for him.”
In light of the revelations, Oklahoma evangelist Justin Peters also removed his endorsement of Williams. “Utterly heartbreaking,” he posted on X on May 23. “I have enjoyed Kris’s teaching on YouTube and here on this site. I have met him and commended him to others publicly and so it grieves me beyond words to see this. It goes without saying that my recommendation of him is retracted.”
Williams’ ministry “should have stopped when this sin was first discovered,” Peters added. “We should pray for his repentance, the state of his soul, and for his wife and family. Men, if you betray your wife, you have betrayed Christ. Love your wife as Christ loves the church.”
