“Since last fall, Pastor Nic has worked closely with Kenneth, Dane, and me in helping administrate the weekly leadership of our church,” Willbanks said. The current elders listed on Gateway’s website are Willbanks, Dane Minor, and Kenneth W. Fambro II.
“[Lesmeister] has also been building a strong relationship with Pastor Daniel over the past few months,” Willbanks continued. “It was ultimately Pastor Daniel’s decision to choose Nic for this leadership role. Together, they are taking on the full daily leadership of our church with Gateway’s staff leadership team.”
Willbanks said that he first met Lesmeister in 2014 and expressed his appreciation for Lesmeister and Lesmeister’s wife, Tabitha. “Nic is perfect for this role, and we are excited to see how he and Pastor Daniel work together to lead Gateway,” said Willbanks. “Nic brings with him a heart for our congregation and campuses and a powerful calling to serve God in everything he does.”
