Dallas Jenkins, creator, co-writer, and director of the critically-acclaimed series “The Chosen,” has shared that Fathom Entertainment is re-releasing his 2010 film “What If…” in celebration of its 15th anniversary.
“What If…” stars Kevin Sorbo (“Hercules,” “Soul Surfer,” “Left Behind: Rise of the Antichrist”), Kristy Swanson (“Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,” “Higher Learning,”), and John Ratzenberger (“Cheers,” “Toy Story,” “Cars”).
The film tells the story of businessman Ben Walker (Sorbo) who is visited by an angel (Ratzenberger) and shown the life he would have lived if he had followed his faith. “What If…” is a film that blends humor and heart, along with a powerful family theme.

“Hey there, I’m Dallas Jenkins, and you might know me as the creator of ‘The Chosen,’ but 15 years ago, I made a movie that my kids tell me is still the best movie that I’ve made, and it’s called ‘What If…,’” Jenkins said in a trailer promoting the re-release of the film. “‘What If…’ tells the story of a man who gets a chance to see what his life would have looked like if he had made the right choice to follow his faith.”
The theatrical re-release will feature never-before-seen commentary by Jenkins and the cast to commemorate the film’s decade-and-a-half anniversary.
Ray Nutt, CEO of Fathom Entertainment, said:
Dallas Jenkins is a true visionary, and “What If…” is where it all began. Fifteen years later – and after all of the profound success Fathom Entertainment accomplished with Dallas and his team on “The Chosen”—this is a terrific opportunity to revisit “What If…” with a special Fathom presentation.
“Audiences are going to be moved by this film all over again—and the new reunion footage makes it even more meaningful for audiences to see it all on the big screen,” Nutt added.
“What If…” is directed and produced by Jenkins, with a screenplay by Cary Solomon, Chuck Konzelman, Andrea Gyertson Nasfell, Michael Scott, and David A.R. White.
“What If…” will be in theaters for two days only on Aug. 5 and 7. For more information, including tickets, visit here.
