The Daily Wire’s Megan Basham commented on “Roller Jam,” saying it “blows apart Chip’s pretense that [Chip and Joanna Gaines] are merely trying to be kind and understanding to individuals who identify as LGBTQ. They are clearly using their positions and influence to promote disordered sexuality and gender behavior.”
Nancy Pearcey, author of “Total Truth” and “The Toxic War on Masculinity,” reacted to “Roller Jam” on X, commenting, “‘Christian couple’?”
Several users on X see “Roller Jam” as making it clear that Christians need to be done with expecting the Gaines to represent the Christian faith. “Now that we know that Chip and Joanna Gaines are phony Christians, let’s move on,” one user responded to Pearcey. “The lesson is to stop putting celebrities on pedestals–as if their celebrity somehow makes the gospel more attractive to the enemies of God, or more effective in reaching the lost.”
