Grace Community Church’s senior pastor, John MacArthur, answered questions from students at The Master’s Seminary earlier this week (May 2). During one of his answers, MacArthur said he would never speak at a conference that would include a woman who was speaking as well.

Danica McKellar, who is known for playing Kevin Arnold’s love interest, Winnie Cooper, on “The Wonder Years,” is reading through the Bible and says she is “on track” to finish it this year.

During this year’s convergence of the National Day of Prayer and “Star Wars Day” (May 4th), a new survey was released on Americans’ thoughts about spirituality and the Force. In the survey, A representative sample of more than 1,800 U.S. adults responded to questions about their prayer habits and faith.

‘It’s not that we’re trying to rewrite history. It’s simply that women have been obscured,’ said Beth Allison Barr.

Some 67 churches in the Western North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church have officially become Lighthouse Congregations. In joining the network, they have committed to remaining United Methodist and to affirming LGBTQ people.

A distinct majority of those who pray (87%) said they believed they’d received an answer to their prayers in the last 12 months.

‘When abuse is framed as just black and white, it can be harder for people going through it to reckon with it and realize it,’ said writer/director Laurel Parmet.

Steve Deace, author of “A Nefarious Plot,” appeared on a recent episode of Phil and Jase Robertson's Unashamed podcast to discuss evil and the church’s role in combating it. Deace also told the Robertsons how his little-known book ended up becoming a well-received, widely distributed film.
