The latest Mali conflict involves an attack on a Dogon village that resulted in the deaths of multiple men, women, and children. While accounts differ as to whether the number of people who died was around 40 or closer to 100, Open Doors reports that all who died were Christians.

Last Monday, terrorist group Boko Haram attacked the town of Michika in the Nigerian state of Adamawa. This attack is only one of many recent ones from Boko Haram and militant Fulani herdsmen across Nigerian states, including Kaduna, and Christians are often the targets.

Since January, 6,000 Nigerian Christians, mostly women and children, have been killed, prompting the organizations to demand that the attacks “be stopped immediately." Many others have been injured.
