5. Postcards & Snail Mail
Everyone loves to receive “real” mail. So use your church’s nonprofit mailing discount for youth group promotion purposes. Send postcards and letters addressed to local teens, and invite them to join your next meeting or special event.
6. Personalized Texts
Mass text messages certainly have their place in promoting a youth group. But remember to contact teens individually, too. Use their names and offer words of encouragement. Tell kids you’re praying for them and looking forward to seeing them soon.
7. Social Media
Okay, yes…social media can be super-effective for youth outreach. Consider putting a media-savvy student or two in charge of your group’s accounts. (Just set clear guidelines and review posts often.) Encourage kids to get creative, using positive messages to invite friends and neighbors to youth group.
What other youth group promotion ideas do you suggest? We—and your ministry colleagues!—would love to read your comments and tips.
