Mikhaila Peterson Fuller, daughter of Canadian psychologist Dr. Jordan Peterson, on Saturday, Oct. 4, provided her social media followers with an update on her father’s health.
In her update on X, Fuller revealed that not only has Peterson’s health been in critical condition but also her family as a whole is experiencing challenges severe enough that she believes the family is under spiritual attack.
“Hey, as you know @jordanbpeterson has been really sick. A lot of people have been asking for updates so here’s one,” said Fuller in the caption above a video of herself giving a longer update. “He’s recovering slowly day by day but I won’t lie, it’s slow and scary. He won’t be back for another few months at least, probably longer.”
“We’re not entirely sure what’s going on but it looks like possibly severe CIRS and a LOT of bad luck,” she said. “Or we’re getting spiritually attacked. Or both.” She referenced Ephesians 6:12 at the end of the caption.

Mikhaila Peterson Fuller Gives Update on Jordan Peterson
Dr. Jordan Peterson is a Canadian-born psychologist, author, podcaster, and conservative media commentator. He is known for opposing a Canadian bill that defended gender identity and expression, for exploring how people find meaning, and for speaking out on masculinity.
He has published lectures on different books of the Bible, although he does not identify as a Christian. In 2021, Fuller revealed that she had become a Christian, and in 2023, Peterson’s wife, Tammy, announced that she was joining the Catholic church.
On Aug. 13, Fuller revealed that Peterson would be “taking time off from everything” because he had been diagnosed with chronic inflammatory response syndrome (CIRS). The National Institutes of Health (NIH) defines CIRS as an “acquired medical condition characterized by innate immune dysregulation following respiratory exposure to water-damaged buildings.”
“This summer’s been exceedingly difficult,” said Fuller in her Oct. 4 update. “Dad was in an ICU suffering from pneumonia and sepsis after dealing with a host of neurological issues this summer that we believe stem from CIRS…due to decades of mold exposure.”
“We don’t have a better explanation for his neurological symptoms at the moment, other than spiritual attacks,” Fuller said.
“He’s been suffering for the last number of years with unexplainable neuropathy and weakness amongst other symptoms,” she said, “but they worsened this summer after he cleaned out his parents’ basement after his dad, my grandpa, passed away.”
Fuller went on to reveal just how dire Peterson’s situation has been. “We weren’t able to communicate with dad really all of September,” she said. “During the end of the pneumonia, he was diagnosed with critical illness polyneuropathy, which we’re hoping is critical illness myopathy, which is bad enough. That’s been heartbreaking and brutal on top of everything else.”
“My family is asking for prayers…this summer’s been exceedingly difficult and terrifying,” said Mikhaila Peterson Fuller.Click to Post
