Dr. Abby Johnson, a former Planned Parenthood director who is now a pro-life advocate, has accused the pro-life movement of helping the Trump administration “save face” after its pro-abortion actions.
Johnson, who is a Christian, referenced the administration’s restoration of Title X funding to Planned Parenthood and also criticized the March for Life for inviting Vice President J.D. Vance to speak at this year’s rally.
“We’re now rewarding this administration by protecting them and propping them up at the March for Life and allowing the vice president to speak as if he is some authority in the pro-life movement,” said Johnson, “as if he is the most pro-life vice president we’ve ever had, even though they are allowing for the mass destruction of babies in the womb.”
“It’s so shocking, and I hate to be the one to tell you guys about this,” she added, “but somebody has to because clearly nobody else in the pro-life movement is going to do it.”

Abby Johnson Accuses Pro-Life Movement of a ‘Cover-Up Job’
Dr. Abby Johnson worked for Planned Parenthood for eight years and eventually became a clinic director. She left the organization in 2009 after witnessing a baby struggle during an ultrasound-guided abortion. She has since become a staunch pro-life advocate and is the founder of ProLove Ministries and And Then There Were None (ATTWN), the latter of which helps abortion workers leave the industry.
Johnson is also an author whose bestselling memoir “Unplanned: The Dramatic True Story of a Former Planned Parenthood Leader’s Eye-Opening Journey Across the Life Line” was adapted into the 2019 film, “Unplanned.”

In a video posted to X Monday, Jan. 19, Johnson said she would be making several videos about “things that are happening in the pro-life movement” that she wants her followers to know. She wrote in the caption, “I’ve been telling the truth for the past 16 years. These are not videos I want to post, but I can’t keep the truth contained. Even if I stand alone, I will keep speaking.”
Johnson went on to describe the recent news that the Trump administration had restored Title X funding to Planned Parenthood after pausing it last spring. Title X is a federal grant program that supports family planning and related preventive health services for people with low incomes or limited access to care in the United States. Title X explicitly states that its grants are not to be used to fund abortions.
Nevertheless, Planned Parenthood, the largest abortion provider in the country, receives Title X funding from the government. The organization says that it does not use this funding for abortions.
Last March, 16 Title X grantees, nine of which were Planned Parenthood affiliates, learned that the Trump administration would be withholding $65.8 million in federal funding. The reason given was that public statements the grantees had made potentially violated civil rights.
