It’s as easy as counting to 100. Danica McKellar captures her love of family and deep appreciation of all things mathematical in her new children’s book, “I Love You 100: A Counting Book Full of Love.”

Within the 40 beautifully illustrated pages, McKellar takes readers on a journey alongside a mother and her son.

Danica McKellar Captures Ways To Express ‘Unconditional Love’ in Her New Children’s Book, ‘I Love You 100’

This is not McKellar’s first children’s book. Since 2018, she’s written several books, including “Double Puppy Trouble” and “Ten Magic Butterflies.” Her newest children’s book, “I Love You 100,” will be released in the fall of 2025 and teaches 4- to 8-year-olds to count alongside a theme of unconditional love.

McKellar recently celebrated two years of being a Christian, and credits friend and co-star Candace Cameron Bure for inviting her to church. Growing up, McKellar only celebrated the Easter Bunny on Easter, but now she is thrilled to focus on “redemption and rebirth” on the religious holiday.

The author and actor chose to infuse her writings with her beliefs.

“Of course I love you when you’re mad,” one page of the book reads. “I hug you extra when you’re sad.”

Parents and grandparents are invited to “snuggle up next to your little one with this heartwarming book.” Throughout the beautifully illustrated pages, families can “read—and count!—along as a mother expresses love for her child while teaching key concepts for counting to 100.”

“It’s just so exciting,” exclaimed McKellar in a recent social media post. “It’s just another step along the way.”

McKellar has involved her fans through the writing and publishing process, first announcing the book in mid-February. In a recent post, she showed cover proofs from the printer—needing to choose between a glossy or matte finish.

“I love shiny, sparkly things, so I’m probably going to go with the shiny,” said McKellar.

McKellar describes the cover art, courtesy of Josée Masse, as “sort of me & my son when he was little.” McKellar’s son is her only child, born during her first marriage.

She drew on her own experiences with her son as she wrote, “Whether the duo is playing with toy boats, swinging, or cleaning up messes, there is no shortage of love.”
