Last month, worship leader and rising CCM artist Seph Schlueter released his long-awaited debut album, “Counting My Blessings.”
In 2024, Christian Broadcaster named Schlueter “Breakout Artist of the Year.” Schlueter was also awarded Breakout Song of the Year at the 2024 K-LOVE Fan Awards.
ChurchLeaders spoke with Schlueter and asked him to name his favorite song on “Counting My Blessings.”
While admitting that is a difficult thing to choose, Schlueter shared, “I love ‘Words We’ll Sing Forever.’” He explained, “As somebody that grew up in church and worship leading is like my favorite thing to do—it’s what got me into the all this in the first place—it is kind of like the most worship leaning song on the album.”

“Turn It To Praise” is another one of Schlueter’s favorites. “It is super fun to play live. It’s got you kind of like a little rock and roll element to it and it’s fun to just jam out to,” Schlueter said, describing “Steady Love” as a song that “puts me in a good mood immediately. It’s just like a feel good, windows-down-driving kind of fun song.”
“But depending on the day, different ones will stand out,” he added.
“I feel like my encouragement to the church today is Romans 1:16,” Schlueter said. “I think that’s just been like a big verse in my life and what I’ve been sharing with people lately.”
He continued, “It’s where Paul says, ‘For I’m not ashamed of the gospel. It’s the power of Christ for the salvation of all who believe.’ I think the church begins to look different and really starts to pioneer and lead again when we’re not ashamed of the very reason we exist.”
